TRAVEL AWARDS
The purpose of this
Award Program is to provide travel support to up to
15 young investigators, who
demonstrate significant achievements in the field of tear film and ocular surface research.
The amount of the Award will be $1,500 (USD; European applicants) or $2,000 (USD; non-European applicants). A waiver of the registration and banquet fees will accompany the Award. The Award winner will also serve as a Co-Chair in one of the Conference oral platform sessions.
To apply for this Award an applicant must be the abstract's first author, as well as a student, or a postdoctoral fellow, or an individual under the age of 40 years. In addition, the applicant must submit an abstract by
Monday, June 1, 2020. If the applicant's abstract is accepted, members of the Travel Award Committee will evaluate his/her abstract. The applicant must be present at the Conference to be eligible for an Award. Winners will be notified by Friday,
Monday, June 15, 2020, and they will be announced at the Conference.
If an applicant does not win an award, that individual must register for the Conference by Friday, June 26, 2020, in order to have their abstract considered for presentation.
Young investigators applying for a Travel Award should submit their Conference abstract no later than
Monday, June 1, 2020. Individuals may apply for this Award without first registering for the Conference. Winners will be notified by
Monday, June 15, 2020.
